OUR HERITAGE AND MISSION
Delano Bat Company has been in the baseball bat business for many years. We started in the solid wood market, and we heard many of our loyal customers telling us they didn’t particularly like the feel or sound of their alloy or composite bats, but they had no other options without sacrificing performance. Wood composites were available, but they were just more durable wood bats.
We thought, "what if...?". What if there was a bat that delivered the look, feel and sound of wood AND offered the hitter better performance and durability than solid wood?

TO WOOD COMPOSITE
Unlike other wood composites on the market today, the full length of our bat starts out as a solid maple billet. Our bat is turned on a lathe and hardened exactly how solid wood bats have been made for decades. We can confidently say that we are the most genuinely wood bat in the wood composite category.
WOOD BAT TRADITIONS
The first alternative to the traditional wood bat gained popularity in the 1970s. With a focus on durability, aluminum emerged as the first alternative to wood. Bat materials have incrementally evolved through today with aluminum or polymer composite being primary options.
Wood hasn’t been considered for a solution for high performing baseball bats in the youth market. Traditionally, beyond Major League Baseball, wood bats are relegated to wood bat leagues and for those that crave the classic feel, look, sound and tradition of wood. Delano believes that we can change the game and make wood relevant for all hitters again.
